The table significantly reveals the number of novels, magazines and story books issued by a public library for march 1999. The figures are divided into different groups.
Overview or Body paragraphs
The people associated are staff, students, general members and new members. The staff took away 200 magazines, 50 novels which is 1/4th of magazines and only 30 story books which are least among the three issued types of books. In all, 280 books were issued to the staff. However, for students issue: magazines were highest i.e. 1149 followed by story books (95) and least novels (75). Furthermore, no novels were issued to general members and they took only 156 magazines and 125 story books for reading. In all 281 books were issued to them which is approximately equal to staff issues.
On the other hand, new members showed more interest in novels. So, 90 novels were issued to them from the library, whereas magazines were only 58 and approximately three fold less (33) were story books. The magazines i.e. 1563, followed by much lesser story books (283) and then novels (215).
Conclusion : IELTS writing task 1 table
The overall view of the data shows that magazines accounted for the greatest number of issues out of three publications. Not a single novel was issued by general numbers and maximum number of books were issued by students.
